CATS integration

AI Screening for CATS ATS Recruiters

Screened scores resumes and runs AI phone or text screens when a candidate lands in a CATS Job Order's Pipeline — so you decide who moves to Submitted from a ranked shortlist instead of a raw pipeline. The CATS integration is available on request.

Where Screened fits in CATS

CATS (CATSone) is an applicant tracking system and recruiting CRM built for staffing and recruiting agencies as well as internal corporate hiring teams — sold as CATS Team for growing in-house talent functions and CATS Pro for professional recruiters juggling multiple clients.

Recruiters use it to post Job Orders, move Candidates through a configurable Workflow of Pipeline statuses, manage Company and Contact relationships, and submit candidates to clients or hiring managers for approval.

CATS is built around highly configurable status-and-trigger automation rather than a built-in AI scoring engine, which it leaves to outside tools.

What Screened takes off your plate in CATS

Score every Applicant when they hit a Job Order's Pipeline

When a candidate applies through your CATS Career Portal or gets parsed in via the sourcing browser extension, Screened scores their resume against that Job Order's specific requirements and produces the score, a written summary, and any red flags — so when you open the Utility Panel to move them from Applicant to Contacted, the read is already done rather than still waiting on someone to open the resume.

Run an AI phone or text screen before a Submit-to-Client trigger fires

Agencies on CATS Pro often wire a status to trigger 'Submit to Client' or 'Submit to Hiring Manager' once a candidate clears initial review. Screened can run its AI voice or text screening interview ahead of that status change, producing a transcript, per-question scores, and a hire/no-hire recommendation — so recruiters only submit candidates who've actually answered your screening questions, cutting down on the bad submittals that cost agencies client trust.

Give Candidate Scorecard reviewers something concrete to rate against

If you've built Candidate Scorecards with categories and skills tied to specific review steps in your Workflow, Screened's score and transcript give reviewers a documented basis before they mark someone 'Strong Yes' or 'Strong No' and Approve or Decline them at that step, instead of rating off a resume skim.

Triage high-volume Job Orders without opening every resume

Desks running several open Job Orders at once can have Screened auto-screen every new Applicant and rank them by score, so recruiters know which candidates are worth marking Hot and calling first, and which can sit lower in the Pipeline until there's time.

How Screened works with CATS

1

A candidate applies through your CATS Career Portal, gets parsed in via the sourcing extension, or is added manually — and lands in a Job Order's Pipeline at your intake status.

2

Screened pulls the resume and that Job Order's requirements, scores the candidate 0-100, and, for roles that need it, places an AI voice or text screening call, producing a transcript and per-question scores.

3

The score, summary, red flags, and screening recommendation are ready in Screened before anyone logs them on the candidate's CATS record or moves their status along the Job Order's Workflow. Writing them back onto the record automatically is available on request.

Built around how CATS works

Screened fits the objects and stages your team already uses in CATS.

Job Order

CATS's term for an open position. Each Job Order carries its own candidate Pipeline, its own Workflow of statuses, and its own triggers, so screening rules can differ from one requisition to the next.

Pipeline

The set of Candidates attached to one Job Order, each sitting at a status such as Applicant, Contacted, Submitted, Interviewing, Offered, or Placed within that Job Order's Workflow.

Workflow & Triggers

Configured under Settings > Administration > Workflow: the ordered statuses a Candidate moves through, plus Triggers (email, task, calendar event, Submit to Client, Submit to Hiring Manager, or a webhook) that fire automatically when a record reaches a given status.

Submittal

The act of sending a candidate's profile and resume to a client Contact for approval via 'Submit to Client' or 'Submit to Hiring Manager'; CATS updates the candidate's status automatically once the client approves or declines through the emailed review link.

Candidate Scorecard

A Job Order-specific set of rating categories and skills, tied to review steps in the Workflow, that let reviewers score candidates from 'Strong No' to 'Strong Yes' and Approve or Decline them at that step.

Utility Panel

The action hub attached to every Candidate, Contact, Company, and Job Order record, used to log an activity, change status, email, text, or schedule an event without leaving the record.

Review candidate fit and authenticity

Bring screening assessments and potential authenticity concerns into your team’s review. Use the written findings to decide where a closer look is needed.

Common questions

Not natively. CATS's own screening tools are rule-based — application-question triggers, resume parsing, and manually built Candidate Scorecards — with no automatic AI scoring engine. Adding Screened layers AI resume scoring and AI phone/text screening on top, so every applicant arrives with a score and a documented recommendation instead of a resume nobody has read yet.

Yes. As candidates land in a Job Order's Pipeline, Screened scores each resume against that Job Order's specific requirements and produces the score and summary, so you're triaging a ranked list instead of opening resumes one at a time.

Scores, transcripts, and results links live in Screened today, so a recruiter records them on the CATS candidate record — through the Utility Panel's Log an Activity action, for example — as part of the same status change they were already making. Writing them onto the record automatically is available on request.

Both. Agencies on CATS Pro managing multiple clients' Job Orders can use Screened to pre-screen candidates before a Submit-to-Client trigger fires; internal teams on CATS Team can use the same screening against their own open Job Orders.

CATS is available on request. Just ask us about it when you talk to sales. Screening itself needs no developer work, no custom API project, and nothing to install on your side.

Screened highlights potential concerns in resumes and checks interview answers against the job requirements. Your team can review the written reasons and interview transcript, then ask follow-up questions about experience that needs clarification.

Screened keeps assessments and written reasons for candidates screened through CATS. Open the Screened candidate profile to review activity, or export a CSV of the latest decisions. For hiring decisions made in CATS, use its own records. See the screening records guide.
