EngageATS integration
The AI Screening Tool for EngageATS Recruiting Teams
Screened scores every CV against your vacancy's essential and desirable criteria, then runs AI phone or text screening for candidates who move forward — with the results ready in Screened. The EngageATS integration is available on request.
Where Screened fits in EngageATS
EngageATS (styled engage|ats), built by Havas People, is an applicant tracking system used mainly by in-house recruitment teams at UK corporates, public sector organisations, professional services firms and universities to run vacancies from initiation through shortlisting, interviewing and offer.
Each vacancy has a convenor — the panel member with final sign-off — plus panel members who score candidates 0 to 3 against essential and desirable criteria before recommending "Schedule for Interview," "Schedule for Reserve," or "Schedule for Regret."
EngageATS is also used to run high-volume graduate and campus recruitment schemes, where a single vacancy can draw hundreds of CVs that all need scoring against the same criteria before one shortlisting meeting.
What Screened takes off your plate in EngageATS
As applications arrive and candidates land in a vacancy's Shortlisting stage, Screened scores each CV 0-100 against that vacancy's essential and desirable criteria and flags key qualifications, red flags, and years of experience.
The score and summary are ready in Screened before anyone records them next to the convenor's and panel members' own scores, so the shortlisting meeting opens with a scored list rather than a pile of CVs nobody has read yet. Writing them back onto the candidate's EngageATS record automatically is available on request.
For candidates recommended "Schedule for Interview," Screened can run an AI phone or text screening interview before the panel conducts its own Interview-stage scoring. The transcript, per-question scores, and hire/no-hire recommendation are ready in Screened, giving the convenor and panel a second, structured data point to weigh alongside their own essential/desirable criteria scores.
Graduate vacancies routinely draw hundreds of submissions against a handful of roles. Because Screened scores CVs continuously as they arrive rather than only at the shortlisting meeting, a convenor using "Bulk Recommend Decisions" to move groups of candidates to Schedule for Interview, Reserve, or Regret is acting on a score for every candidate, not a quick skim of the ones near the top of the pile.
EngageATS records stage progression, user, and timestamp for every recommendation, and candidates can request access to scoring comments through a Subject Access Request. Screened's score, summary, and recommendation are held against the candidate it screened, ready to record on that same candidate record and audit trail, instead of sitting in a separate spreadsheet or inbox HR would otherwise have to track down.
How Screened works with EngageATS
A candidate's application lands against a vacancy and moves into the Shortlisting stage in EngageATS.
Screened scores the CV 0-100 against that vacancy's essential and desirable criteria and surfaces qualifications, red flags, and years of experience.
For candidates moving to interview, Screened can run an AI phone or text screening call and produce a transcript, per-question scores, and a recommendation ahead of the panel's Interview stage.
The score, summary, recommendation, and results link are ready in Screened before the shortlisting meeting, so the convenor and panel members have them alongside their own scoring when they record a decision on the EngageATS candidate record. Writing them back automatically is available on request.
Built around how EngageATS works
Screened fits the objects and stages your team already uses in EngageATS.
EngageATS's term for a job requisition. A vacancy is opened through a Vacancy Initiation Form and Vacancy Approval Workflow before it goes live for applications.
The panel member with final sign-off on a vacancy. Only the convenor's (or a delegated 'System Convenor's') submitted scores and recommendations are definitive; everyone else's are informational.
Reviewers added to a vacancy who score candidates at the Shortlisting and Interview stages. Their scores and recommendations are visible to the convenor but described in EngageATS as 'for information only.'
The scoring rubric attached to a vacancy. Candidates are scored 0 (does not meet) to 3 (exceeds) against essential and desirable criteria at both the Shortlisting and Interview stages.
The three recommendation outcomes available at the Shortlisting stage, each of which moves a candidate into a correspondingly named stage for HR to action next.
A holding area for strong candidates who weren't right for their original vacancy but are kept on file, outside any single vacancy's pipeline, for future roles.
Review candidate fit and authenticity
Bring screening assessments and potential authenticity concerns into your team’s review. Use the written findings to decide where a closer look is needed.
Common questions
EngageATS's AI CV matcher is built to match and rank candidates against a vacancy, but it doesn't produce a 0-100 score breakdown, a red-flag list, or an actual screening conversation. Screened adds that layer on top of the match — scoring each CV against your essential and desirable criteria and, where needed, running an AI phone or text interview — then makes the result available in Screened for your convenor and panel to weigh before the candidate record moves on.
Yes. Screened scores CVs as applications come in, so by the time your convenor and panel sit down to shortlist, every candidate already has a score and a qualifications/red-flag summary waiting in Screened, rather than the panel reading CVs cold at the meeting.
Screened scores every CV against the vacancy's criteria as it arrives, so a convenor using 'Bulk Recommend Decisions' to move large groups to Schedule for Interview, Reserve, or Regret is working from a score for each candidate rather than skim-reading hundreds of applications in one sitting.
No. Screened's score and recommendation are an additional, informational input alongside the panel members' scores — only the convenor, or a delegated System Convenor, still submits the definitive recommendation that moves a candidate to Schedule for Interview, Regret, Reserve, or offer.
EngageATS is available on request. Just ask us about it when you talk to sales. Screening itself needs no developer work, no custom API project, and nothing to install on your side.
Screened highlights potential concerns in resumes and checks interview answers against the job requirements. Your team can review the written reasons and interview transcript, then ask follow-up questions about experience that needs clarification.
Screened keeps assessments and written reasons for candidates screened through EngageATS. Open the Screened candidate profile to review activity, or export a CSV of the latest decisions. For hiring decisions made in EngageATS, use its own records. See the screening records guide.
