Homerun AI Screening Tool: Score Every Application Before Your Team's Manual Review
Screened plugs AI resume and phone screening into your Homerun pipeline, scoring every applicant as they hit the Application stage and having the score, transcript, and recommendation ready before your Hiring Team opens the Job Application. The Homerun integration is available on request.
Where Screened fits in Homerun
Homerun is an applicant tracking and HR tool built for small and mid-sized teams — usually somewhere between 5 and 100 people — who want a visually polished, collaborative hiring process without enterprise ATS overhead.
Growing tech, agency, hospitality, and retail teams use it to publish branded job pages, run one shared hiring pipeline, and keep the whole Hiring Team weighing in through star Reviews, Scorecards, and Notes.
Homerun keeps evaluation deliberately manual — its help center walks teams through star ratings and a "qualification" button rather than any automated scoring, and there's no AI resume-screening tool among its 28 listed integration partners.
What Screened takes off your plate in Homerun
Every applicant lands in Homerun's Application stage in whatever order they applied — it's the one stage Homerun won't let you rename, and it doesn't rank the pile for you. Screened scores each new Job Application against the role once it arrives, so your team can work the stage from a ranked list instead of clicking through star Reviews in application order.
Homerun's Hiring Team setting is built to alert teammates on a job when someone applies, but plenty of hiring managers see that email and never open the pipeline. Screened's score and hire/no-hire recommendation are ready before that alert goes out, so a hiring manager following it into Homerun is looking at a candidate someone has already screened rather than a raw resume.
Getting a first conversation on the calendar in Homerun means building an Event and coordinating with the candidate directly. Screened can run an AI voice or text screening interview automatically once a candidate is qualified, producing a transcript and per-question score before your team ever creates the Event — so the live interview starts with a pre-qualified candidate, not a cold one.
Recruiters who clip profiles into Homerun's Talent Pool with the Talent Clipper rarely have time to manually re-evaluate that list before a role opens. When a Talent Pool candidate is added to an open vacancy as a Job Application, Screened can screen them the same way it screens a fresh applicant, so the pool stays a real shortlist instead of a list of old LinkedIn profiles nobody revisits.
How Screened works with Homerun
A candidate applies to your Homerun vacancy and lands in the default Application stage; Screened screens them right away instead of waiting for a teammate to open the application.
Screened's AI reads the resume and application answers, scores the candidate 0-100 against that job's requirements, and flags key qualifications, red flags, and years of experience — the automated scoring step Homerun's own pipeline doesn't do on its own.
For roles where a first conversation makes sense, Screened can run an AI voice or text screening interview automatically, producing a transcript, per-question scores, and a hire/no-hire recommendation before your team ever builds an Event.
The score, recommendation, and results link are ready in Screened before anyone notes them on the Job Application or moves it to the next Hiring Stage. Writing them back as a Note automatically is available on request.
Built around how Homerun works
Screened fits the objects and stages your team already uses in Homerun.
Homerun's default first hiring stage that every new candidate lands in automatically. It's the one stage Homerun's help center says you cannot rename, even though every stage after it is fully custom.
The custom stages you build after the Application stage (e.g. "Phone Screen," "Final Interview"). Each vacancy can have its own stage names and settings, though new jobs start from your account's default set.
The 1-5 star ratings teammates leave on a candidate during the Application stage. Homerun hides colleagues' star ratings until you submit your own review (or hit Skip), specifically to avoid biased reviewing.
Structured, template-based feedback forms attached to a Hiring Stage for a deeper post-interview verdict — used instead of, or alongside, a quick star Review.
Talent Pool is Homerun's holding list of promising candidates for roles that aren't open yet. The Talent Clipper is the browser tool recruiters use to add a profile from LinkedIn, Facebook, Behance, or Dribbble straight into that list.
The per-vacancy group of teammates who get notified when someone applies and who can review, comment, and move candidates for that job — separate from the account's overall user list.
Review candidate fit and authenticity
Bring screening assessments and potential authenticity concerns into your team’s review. Use the written findings to decide where a closer look is needed.
Common questions
Yes. Screened scores each candidate 0-100 against your job requirements once they apply, and produces that score — so the Application stage, the one stage Homerun won't let you rename, can be worked as a ranked list instead of by apply date.
No. Screened adds an AI score, and optionally an AI phone or text screen, before your team's own review. Your Hiring Team still leaves star Reviews in the Application stage and fills out Scorecards at later Hiring Stages exactly as before, just starting from a pre-qualified shortlist instead of a raw one.
Homerun is available on request. Just ask us about it when you talk to sales. Screening itself needs no developer work, no custom API project, and nothing to install on your side.
Both. Once a Talent Pool candidate is added to an open vacancy as a Job Application, Screened screens them the same way it screens a brand-new applicant, so candidates you clipped in with the Talent Clipper don't need a separate manual review before they move into your active pipeline.
Screened's score, recommendation, and results link are all held against the candidate in Screened, where Hiring Team members can be given access to read the outcome without running the screening themselves.
Screened highlights potential concerns in resumes and checks interview answers against the job requirements. Your team can review the written reasons and interview transcript, then ask follow-up questions about experience that needs clarification.
Screened keeps assessments and written reasons for candidates screened through Homerun. Open the Screened candidate profile to review activity, or export a CSV of the latest decisions. For hiring decisions made in Homerun, use its own records. See the screening records guide.
