Pinpoint AI Candidate Screening for Multi-Stream Hiring Teams

Screened scores resumes and runs AI phone screens for candidates in your Pinpoint Jobs. The Pinpoint integration is available on request.

Where Screened fits in Pinpoint

Pinpoint is an applicant tracking system built for in-house talent acquisition teams running more than one kind of hiring at once — high-volume retail and hospitality roles, multi-brand or multi-location hiring, specialist and executive search — inside a single account, what Pinpoint itself calls "multi-stream hiring."

Hiring runs from an approved Requisition through a Job's own Hiring Workflow of stages, layering Scorecards, AI Match Score, and an AI Hiring Copilot on top of the platform's Plan, Attract, Engage, Select, and Onboard structure.

Pinpoint's customers are mid-market and enterprise in-house teams — retail and hospitality brands, professional services firms, nonprofits — rather than staffing agencies, though it gives external agencies their own limited-access Recruitment agency portal.

What Screened takes off your plate in Pinpoint

Score applicants when a Requisition becomes a Job

Pinpoint's Requisition system routes every new-hire request through a Sign-Off Workflow before a recruiter clicks Create Job. Once that Job exists and applications start landing, Screened can score each resume against the role's requirements right away, so the first time a recruiter opens the applicant list, every candidate already has a 0-100 score, extracted qualifications, and any red flags waiting in Screened — not a stack of unread resumes.

Triage in Split view without losing screening context

When a recruiter is queuing candidates one at a time and switches from Stacked to Split view — the icons on the right of the profile — they're still looking at one candidate's Profile, just laid out differently. Screened's score and short recommendation are keyed to that same candidate, so whichever layout a recruiter prefers while working the queue, the screening read is one lookup away instead of a report someone has to dig out.

The phone-screen stage that exists just to make calls

Plenty of Pinpoint Hiring Workflows have a stage between Applied and Interview — Phone Screen, Recruiter Screen, whatever a team calls it — that exists purely so someone calls the candidate before a hiring manager gets involved.

Automating that call for every candidate who reaches it

Screened can run that call (or a text screening interview) for every candidate who reaches the stage and produce the transcript, per-question scores, and a hire/no-hire recommendation, so the stage becomes something a recruiter reviews instead of a list of calls they still owe.

Give hiring managers screening evidence for the comparison call

Open the Candidate Comparison View — select two or more candidates from a Job's overview page and click Compare — and a hiring manager already sees each candidate's Scorecards and AI Match Score lined up side by side. Screened's score, recommendation, and results link are ready for that same decision, so the hiring manager isn't exporting a report into a spreadsheet to make the call.

How Screened works with Pinpoint

1

Screens every resume against the Job's requirements once candidates apply, scoring 0-100 and extracting key qualifications, red flags, and years of experience — a second, independent read that complements Pinpoint's own AI Match Score rather than replacing it.

2

Runs AI voice or text screening interviews for candidates who reach a phone-screen stage, producing a full transcript, per-question scores, and a hire/no-hire recommendation without a recruiter placing the call.

3

Makes the score, notes, recommendation, and results link available in Screened before anyone records them on the candidate's Profile or moves the candidate to the next Hiring Workflow stage. Writing them back automatically is available on request.

4

Handles interview scheduling and coordination once a candidate clears screening, proposing times and sending invites so the hand-off from 'screened' to 'on the hiring manager's calendar' doesn't sit on a recruiter's plate.

Built around how Pinpoint works

Screened fits the objects and stages your team already uses in Pinpoint.

Requisition

A formal request to hire that must clear Pinpoint's Sign-Off Workflow — signatories who approve or reject it — before a recruiter can click Create Job and turn it into an active Job.

Hiring Workflow

The stages a Job's candidates move through, defined per Job (e.g., Applied, Phone Screen, Interview, Offer); each stage can carry its own Scorecard and Stage Actions.

AI Match Score

Pinpoint's own 1-10 fit score, generated from up to 10 must-have/preferred/nice-to-have criteria set for a Job; it shows on the candidate's Profile, in Split/Stacked view, and in the Interview Kit.

Scorecards

Structured, stage-specific assessment forms interviewers fill in; viewed and compared from the Scorecards tab on a Job's overview page.

Candidate Comparison View

The two-or-more-candidate side-by-side view, opened by selecting candidates on a Job's overview page and clicking Compare — distinct from the single-candidate Split/Stacked toggle used while queuing.

Stage Actions

Automations that trigger an integration plugin's action when a candidate enters a specific Hiring Workflow stage, regardless of what moved them there.

Review candidate fit and authenticity

Bring screening assessments and potential authenticity concerns into your team’s review. Use the written findings to decide where a closer look is needed.

Common questions

They answer different questions. AI Match Score is Pinpoint's own 1-10 rating, built from up to 10 must-have/preferred/nice-to-have criteria and generated entirely from the application — it can't talk to a candidate. Screened adds a 0-100 resume score plus an actual AI phone or text screening interview, with a transcript and hire/no-hire recommendation. Most teams keep Match Score as the first-pass filter on the applicant list and use Screened for the conversation a recruiter used to have to have themselves.

In Screened, not on a Pinpoint tab. The score, notes, recommendation, and results link are held there, ready for whoever records them on the candidate's existing Profile and moves the candidate to the next Hiring Workflow stage. The Pinpoint integration is available on request, so writing them back automatically is something we'd set up with you.

Yes. Screened doesn't move candidates in Pinpoint today — the Pinpoint integration is available on request — and Stage Actions trigger an integration plugin's action when a candidate enters a stage, not based on who or what moved them there. So a recruiter acting on a Screened result and dragging the candidate forward fires whatever Stage Action is attached to that stage exactly as usual.

Not today — the Pinpoint integration is available on request, so the score, results link, and recommendation stay in Screened rather than on the Profile the Candidate Comparison View pulls from. A hiring manager comparing finalists opens the Screened results link next to Pinpoint's Scorecards and AI Match Score.

Yes — it's configured per Job, not account-wide, which fits how Pinpoint already keeps each stream's workflows, branding, and permissions separate. A high-volume retail Job can use Screened to phone-screen a large applicant pool against a few must-have criteria, while a specialist search Job can use a deeper screen; each Job's criteria and Hiring Workflow stay independent, the same way the streams themselves do.

Screened highlights potential concerns in resumes and checks interview answers against the job requirements. Your team can review the written reasons and interview transcript, then ask follow-up questions about experience that needs clarification.

Screened keeps assessments and written reasons for candidates screened through Pinpoint. Open the Screened candidate profile to review activity, or export a CSV of the latest decisions. For hiring decisions made in Pinpoint, use its own records. See the screening records guide.
