AI Candidate Screening for Your Recruitee Pipeline

Screened scores every resume and can run the AI phone screen when a candidate lands in the Applicants lane you map as your intake stage, with results posted onto the candidate profile beside the Evaluation tab.

Where Screened fits in Recruitee

Recruitee — rebranded Tellent Recruitee after merging into the Amsterdam-based Tellent group (alongside sister products like Sympa and kiwiHR) — is a collaborative applicant tracking system built for growing, mid-market companies (roughly 50-1,000 employees) juggling a handful of open roles at once, with heavy adoption across Europe.

Its whole design point is pulling hiring managers and other non-recruiter stakeholders directly into the pipeline to leave quick evaluations and scorecards, rather than routing every decision through one recruiter's inbox.

Recruitee also ships its own lightweight AI: a Screening Assistant that checks applicants against a handful of job criteria, and a Matching Assistant that resurfaces people already sitting in a Talent Pool.

What Screened takes off your plate in Recruitee

Scoring the intake lane you map, consistently

Recruitee's Applicants stage group has three fixed lanes — Sourced, Referred, and Applied — that all feed into Active Process. Referred candidates often get waved through with less scrutiny than cold applicants; Screened scores every resume 0-100 against the job's requirements when it lands in the one lane you map as your intake stage, so everyone in that lane gets the same red-flag and experience check before anyone drags them forward.

Knockout questions only catch binary criteria

Recruitee's knockout questions auto-disqualify candidates on binary criteria — work authorization, a required certification, location — tied to a disqualify reason.

Catching the softer issues a yes/no can't

Screened evaluates everyone who survives that filter, extracting years of experience and flagging softer issues (employment gaps, job-hopping, inflated titles) that a yes/no screening question can't catch, before a recruiter opens the CV.

Turning the "Phone screen" stage into an AI interview

Recruitee ships "Phone screen" as one of its six default pipeline stage types, alongside Apply, Interview, Evaluation, Offer, and Hired. Instead of a recruiter working down that list one dial at a time, Screened can run the AI voice screening interview for candidates who reach it, then attach the score, results link, and a hire/no-hire recommendation to the candidate as a compact result report.

Landing results on the profile hiring managers already open

Recruitee stores every quick evaluation and full evaluation form — scored No, Not sure, Yes, or Strong yes — on a candidate's Evaluation tab. Screened's score and recommendation land on that same candidate profile as a compact result report attachment, so a hiring manager comparing scorecards on the Evaluation tab sees the AI screening result right next to their colleagues' human ratings.

How Screened works with Recruitee

1

A candidate reaches the Applicants lane you map as your intake stage — Sourced, Referred, or Applied — and Screened scores the resume 0-100 against that job's requirements, pulling out years of experience and flagging inconsistencies.

2

When the candidate moves into your Phone screen stage (or whichever Active Process stage you use for it), Screened runs the AI voice or text screening interview and produces a transcript, per-question scores, and a hire/no-hire recommendation.

3

Screened attaches the score, results link, and recommendation to the candidate's profile in Recruitee as a compact result report, next to the Evaluation tab your hiring managers already check — no separate screening dashboard to log into.

4

Connecting Recruitee to Screened takes a few clicks: you authorize the connection from your Recruitee account, your open jobs and candidates flow into Screened, and every screening result flows back to Recruitee — no engineering, no CSV exports, no custom build.

Built around how Recruitee works

Screened fits the objects and stages your team already uses in Recruitee.

Pipeline & stage groups

Each Recruitee job runs on a pipeline built from three stage groups: Applicants (the fixed Sourced/Referred/Applied lanes), Active Process (your custom interview and assessment stages), and Hires.

Screening Assistant

Recruitee's native AI reviewer, configured under Settings > Organization > Tellent Intelligence. It checks up to 6 job-specific criteria against a resume, cover letter, and screening answers, but only for candidates in the Applied stage, and it deliberately withholds any overall ranking or suitability score.

Evaluation tab & scorecards

The section of a candidate's profile where quick evaluations and detailed evaluation forms live, each scored on Recruitee's four-point scale: No, Not sure, Yes, or Strong yes.

Knockout questions

Application-form questions flagged so that one disqualifying answer automatically rejects the candidate and applies a linked disqualify reason.

Talent Pools & Matching Assistant

Recruitee's searchable database of past candidates, tagged by role or skill; the Matching Assistant scans it against a new job's criteria and surfaces matches in a "Matching candidates" pipeline stage.

Hiring Roles

Recruitee's permission templates (Admin, Corporate Recruiter, Hiring Manager, Reviewer, and more) that decide who can see which jobs and candidates.

Review candidate fit and authenticity

Bring screening assessments and potential authenticity concerns into your team’s review. Use the written findings to decide where a closer look is needed.

Common questions

No — it complements it. Recruitee's Screening Assistant only checks up to 6 criteria as met or unmet for candidates in the Applied stage, and by design won't produce a ranked score. Screened adds a 0-100 resume score, years-of-experience extraction, and red-flag detection, and isn't locked to Applied — it runs on whichever Applicants lane you map as your intake stage.

Yes. Screened can handle the AI voice or text screening interview for candidates in that stage, then attach the score, results link, and recommendation to their candidate profile so the next reviewer isn't starting from a blank slate.

It posts onto the candidate's existing profile in Recruitee, alongside the Evaluation tab where quick evaluations and evaluation forms already live, so hiring managers keep reviewing scorecards in one place instead of checking a second tool.

Screened scores resumes against the job's requirements for the one Applicants lane you map as your intake stage — so whether a candidate arrived Sourced, Referred, or Applied, everyone in that lane gets the same scrutiny rather than referrals being waved through.

Yes. Screened's write-back into Recruitee runs through Recruitee's API, so your organization needs a subscription tier that includes API access — worth confirming with whoever manages your Recruitee subscription before rolling this out, since not every Recruitee plan includes it.

Screened highlights potential concerns in resumes and checks interview answers against the job requirements. Your team can review the written reasons and interview transcript, then ask follow-up questions about experience that needs clarification.

Screened keeps assessments and written reasons for candidates screened through Recruitee. Open the Screened candidate profile to review activity, or export a CSV of the latest decisions. For hiring decisions made in Recruitee, use its own records. See the screening records guide.
