Zoho Recruit integration
AI Resume Screening for Zoho Recruit
Score and screen candidates when their application lands in your Zoho Recruit Hiring Pipeline, and get back the score, transcript, and recommendation — whether you run the Corporate HR or Staffing Agency edition. The Zoho Recruit integration is available on request.
Where Screened fits in Zoho Recruit
Zoho Recruit is Zoho's cloud-based applicant tracking system and recruiting CRM, sold in two editions: Corporate HR, for in-house talent acquisition teams hiring for their own company, and Staffing Agency, for recruiting and search firms placing candidates with outside clients.
It's used by more than 800,000 recruiters worldwide and skews heavily toward small and mid-sized teams, though larger hiring functions use it too, drawn by its price, 75+ job board connections, and built-in AI assistant, Zia.
Recruiters work out of three connected modules — Job Openings, Candidates, and Applications — moving each application through a customizable Hiring Pipeline that always starts in a system-default "Screening" stage.
What Screened takes off your plate in Zoho Recruit
Every new application in Zoho Recruit starts in the system's fixed 'Screening' stage of the Hiring Pipeline before it can move anywhere else. Screened can score the attached resume against the job opening's requirements once that application is created — extracting years of experience, qualifications, and red flags — so recruiters open the Screening stage to a ranked, annotated list instead of a stack of unopened resumes.
Zia, Zoho Recruit's built-in AI, already ranks candidates against the must-have and nice-to-have skills set on a job opening. Screened runs alongside Zia rather than replacing it: it scores each candidate 0-100 against your actual job requirements, flags gaps a skills-list match can miss — giving recruiters two independent signals before anyone opens a resume.
In the Corporate HR edition, recruiters use Submit to Hiring Manager to send a candidate to the hiring manager, who leaves a 1-5 star rating and comments before approving (3+ stars) or rejecting (2 or fewer).
Screened can run an AI phone or text screening interview on shortlisted candidates first and produce the transcript, per-question scores, and hire/no-hire recommendation — so the hiring manager's rating reflects actual interview answers, not a resume alone.
Agencies on the Staffing Agency edition submit candidates to clients through the Client Portal, where the client reviews, comments, and approves or rejects. Screened can screen and phone-interview candidates before that submission goes out — so what a client sees in the portal is backed by actual screening, and Screened's scheduling automation can help line up the next interview once a client signs off.
How Screened works with Zoho Recruit
Screened scores every resume 0-100 against a Zoho Recruit job opening's requirements and extracts qualifications, red flags, and years of experience — before a recruiter works through the applications sitting in the Screening stage.
For shortlisted candidates, Screened runs an AI phone or text screening interview and produces a transcript, per-question scores, and a hire/no-hire recommendation.
Screened automates interview scheduling and coordination once a candidate clears screening, so a strong phone-screen result can turn into a booked interview without a recruiter chasing calendars.
The score, notes, results link, and recommendation are ready in Screened before anyone advances the Application through your Hiring Pipeline. Writing them back to Zoho Recruit automatically is available on request.
Built around how Zoho Recruit works
Screened fits the objects and stages your team already uses in Zoho Recruit.
Zoho Recruit's record for an open position — holds the must-have/nice-to-have skills, number of positions, and status (Open or Closed) that candidates and applications are measured against.
A Candidate is the person's master record across every job they've touched; an Application is the specific link between that Candidate and one Job Opening, with its own status that moves through the Hiring Pipeline independently of the candidate's other applications.
The customizable set of stages (configured under Setup > Customization > Hiring Pipeline) an application moves through. Every application starts in the fixed 'Screening' stage; recruiters add custom stages and map candidate statuses to them for everything after that.
Zoho Recruit's own AI, used for Candidate Matches (skill-based scoring and ranking against a job opening), AI profile summaries, AI Assist content drafting, and the Screening Bot chatbot on the Career Site.
A Corporate HR edition action where a recruiter sends a candidate to a department's hiring manager, who gives a 1-5 star rating and comments; 3+ stars enables Approve, 2 or fewer enables Reject.
A Staffing Agency edition portal where external clients log in to review candidates a recruiter has submitted, leave feedback, and approve, reject, or make interview decisions.
Review candidate fit and authenticity
Bring screening assessments and potential authenticity concerns into your team’s review. Use the written findings to decide where a closer look is needed.
Common questions
Partly. Screened scores applications at the point they'd sit in the default Screening stage, so whoever works that stage is looking at a finished read rather than a stack of unopened resumes and advances the Application status from a completed screen. Driving that stage update automatically is available on request.
No. Zia's Candidate Matches score resumes against the skills listed on a job opening inside Zoho Recruit. Screened runs alongside Zia, adding a 0-100 score against your specific job requirements plus AI phone/text screening interviews, with its results ready in Screened.
The screening itself works the same way on either edition. The difference is the handoff: Corporate HR teams typically attach results before using Submit to Hiring Manager, while agencies attach them before submitting a candidate through the Client Portal to an external client.
Yes. However a candidate enters Zoho Recruit — Career Site application, a Resume Harvester pull from a job board, Resume Inbox email parsing, or manual upload — once they're a Candidate record associated with a Job Opening, Screened can score and screen them the same way.
Zoho Recruit is available on request. Just ask us about it when you talk to sales. Screening itself needs no developer work, no custom API project, and nothing to install on your side.
Screened highlights potential concerns in resumes and checks interview answers against the job requirements. Your team can review the written reasons and interview transcript, then ask follow-up questions about experience that needs clarification.
Screened keeps assessments and written reasons for candidates screened through Zoho Recruit. Open the Screened candidate profile to review activity, or export a CSV of the latest decisions. For hiring decisions made in Zoho Recruit, use its own records. See the screening records guide.
